Discover Your Past, Research Your Mormon Genealogy!

June 22nd, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Randell Rogfend The Mormon Church (LDS or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) is well known for their collection of genealogy records. There are many ways you can find information on genealogy records: 1. Search the Mormon Church’s huge genealogy record collection using a free genealogy search engine. You will find searches, indexes and a bottomless amount of helpful information on how to find genealogy records. There are many free genealogy sites on the internet you must bookmark and cannot be without. 2. The Latter Day Saints Church offers this free booklet to assist you in searching for your roots. Tips: You want to collect and collate as much information as you can. It is most exciting to start with your self and then turn toward the other members of your present generation followed by people of your immediately previous generation like Father and Mother, then go up one level at a time. Keep digging on as much as possible to reach the possible root of your family tree. What sort of information do you require? The answer is simple. Name, Date and Place of Birth, Other Members in the family, marriage date and the details about the spouse, Date and place of death of an Individual. You must try to find out the ancestral village of the members and their occupation both in present and the past. There is much information contained in databases, but finding what you are searching for can be tricky. Be sure to try various spellings of the surname and first name. Even try using first initials if you can’t find the person you are searching for by using their full name. Checking “Exact Spelling” will search for the name spelled in ONLY the way you have entered it in the search engine and therefore will put a limit on results. Morman Genealogy research can be completed through thorough research. It is easy to find a site which links to the majority of the Morman surname data on the web, as well as to individual Morman family trees, Morman origin and Morman meaning if known, and many other Morman genealogy resources. I have created a website which collects articles, information and resources which you can use to help you in your search. Please visit Mormon Genealogy. Good luck! Contesting a Will or a Trust. Can it Be Done?

June 19th, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Phil Craig First, we must ask, what is contesting a will or a trust? Basically, contesting a will or a trust means that you are challenging the validity of the will or trust document. It is similar to the flag that is thrown in a pro football game after a call by the referee. In this case, the will or trust is assumed valid by the probate court judge. You are throwing out the flag and contesting the validity of the document in question. Contesting a will or trust usually rests on one or two of the following factors: undue influence in executing the will or trust, or that the person executing the will or trust lacked mental capacity to execute the will or trust at the time it was executed. What is undue influence in executing a will or trust? Here is the definition of undue influence: Undue Influence - Influence of another that destroys the freedom of a testator or donor and creates a ground for nullifying a will or invalidating a future gift. The exercise of undue influence is suggested by excessive insistence, superiority of will or mind, the relationship of the parties or pressure on the donor or testator by any other means to do what he is unable, practically, to refuse. So, if you can prove that the person who executed the will or trust was acting with undue influence, that is, was acting under pressure that was unable to refuse, you may have a basis to claim undue influence. This would give you one reason to contest a will or trust. The other method to contest a will or trust is that there was a lack of testamentary capacity. Testamentary capacity is the legal ability to make a will. In California, for example, Probate Code Section 812 says, in part, that a person lacks the capacity to make a decision unless the person has the ability to commnicate verbally, or by any other means, the decision, and to understand and appreciate, to the extent relevant, all of the following: (a) The rights, duties, and responsibilities created by, oraffected by the decision. (b) The probable consequences for the decision maker and, whereappropriate, the persons affected by the decision. (c) The significant risks, benefits, and reasonable alternativesinvolved in the decision. So, here, to contest a will or trust due to lack or testamentary capacity, you would have to show all three elements. This is a tough case but is not impossible. In my early legal career, I was able to obtain a $1,000,000 plus settlement for a client using the above elements. You can find more information about wills or trusts: Click Here. Pick-Up Women and Increase Your Confidence, Step By Step

June 7th, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Avram Z Im shy. Ive always been shy. Its something you never grow out of - you just learn how to deal with it, or how to get around it. And when youre trying to pickup girls, shyness is a deal killer. So how did a painfully-shy guy, manage to become a successful Pickup Artist? (You can read more about that on my blog - See Author Bio below this article.) Well, the first step for us shy guys, is defeating that very problem. I did it, and you can too. The secret is to take things one step at a time. And very small (meaning easy to do) steps… Step 0: This is something you need to do, before you actually get started on your pickup training. And its simple. Find a place with lots of women. Lots & lots of women. You want to have a constant supply, and you want to be able to choose the women to approach (later on). Step 1: Lets say you chose my favorite training grounds: the mall. Lots of women, shopping, eating, picking up stuff… Walk through the mall and every time a woman walks by you, smile. Just look her straight in the eye and smile, nothing more. At worst, shell ignore you; at best, shell smile back (this one happens very often). Your purpose here, is just to get comfortable looking them in the eye and making contact. When smiling feels easy, youre ready to move up a notch. Step 2: Now, every time a woman comes into range, say Hi. Thats it. Just Hi.Keep it simple. Your purpose here, is just to get comfortable say something, anything, to a female stranger. Hi works. And it works well. Most women will smile at you - or even say Hi back! When saying Hi feels easy, youre ready to move up a notch. Step 3: Ask for directions. Again, we want to keep things simple. Easy. Just pretend youre trying to find a store at the other end of the mall. Say to her, Excuse me. Do you know where the store that sells octopi is? or Which way is Fat Burger? Your purpose here, is to actually have a Conversation (granted, a very short one), with a female stranger. Youll see that a large majority of women will stop in their tracks, and help you find your missing store. Step 4: Now its time to have a REAL conversation. Nervous? Dont be. I promised you - small, easy steps. So how do we do that here? Simple. Start with employees! Employees HAVE to talk to you. They HAVE to be nice - its their Job. So go into every store, walk up to one of the female staff, and start a conversation with her. Just say Hi, then start with the small talk. How great/bad the weather is out there. How great/badly the local baseball, football, hockey, soccer, cricket, whatever; team is doing. Step 5: Now make the conversation more personal. Still using store staff, start a conversation on something about Her. How you like her clothes, her purse, her interesting & unique jewelry item. How you like her hairstyle, or the way she did her makeup - and how it fits her look really well. A compliment is NOT a great opening pickup line, by the way. But it IS a great way, to practice talking to women. Step 6: Same as Step 4, but with random women. Now youre talking to strangers, by walking up to them and starting a conversation about small talk things. Step 7: Same as Step 5, but with random women. Now youre talking to strangers, by walking up to them and starting a conversation about personal things. Get the idea? When you perform any of those Steps, a couple dozen times, it gets easy. So easy its boring! So boring, you cant wait to move up to the next Step. Once youve reached this point, youre ready to move on to effective pickup techniques, that result in your getting her contact information. But to do that, theres much more you need to know first, about attitude, body language, - and yes, even great pickup lines! So continue reading the second part of this article on my blog, right now! http://jewishdating-service.blogspot.com Avram went from no girlfriends, to TOO MANY girlfriends - and you can read more about how he did this, in his blogs diary at: Jewish Dating Service. And yes, what he did can work for ANY guy - not just guys who live on chicken soup. ;-) Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Avram_Z http://EzineArticles.com/?Pick-Up-Women-and-Increase-Your-Confidence,-Step-By-Step&id=560214 no hassel unsecured loans need college money now no loans online paycheck calculator el paso bad credit used car loan

A Major Key to Pain Relief: Using Your Subconscious to Alter Your Brain Chemistry

June 1st, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Ben Plumb Chemical reactions move pain signals along a pathway from your body to your brain. By using visualization statements to focus your subconscious on potential weak points along that pathway, you may be able to reduce the signal enough to get relief. Visualization statements represent the specific language that your subconscious wants you to read back to it to help ease your pain. Theyre simple and are targeted directly at the main factors that could bring you relief. You can obtain these statements by learning how to communicate directly with your own subconscious mind. The process is straightforward and can be done at home by working with a facilitator over the telephone. You you need no special skills and no previous experience in working with the subconscious. Working with Brain Chemistry Over one hundred different neurotransmitters are known to exist and to interact with one another in extremely complex ways. Four of these chemicals directly increase the pain signal. Glutamate, substance P, norepinephrine, and acetylcholine are pain transmitters that all play a role in sending or magnifying the signal. Four other chemicals directly reduce the pain signal. Endorphins, GABA, serotonin, and dopamine are pain relievers that counteract the effects of some or all of the above four pain transmitters. These chemicals operate in back pain or pain in the neck or other extremities, arthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, or neuropathic pain (nerve pain). In our work we’ve found that the subconscious usually suggests that you visualize a decrease in the levels of the four pain transmitters, and an increase in the levels of the four pain inhibitors. It then provides the specific visualization statements that it believes are adequate to attain those results. Devising A Strategy Reducing pain involves more than simply striving to reduce or increase the levels of the above neurotransmitters. It also involves using the subconscious to try to strategically reduce the pain signal as these chemicals help to pass it through three different stages on its way to the brain: Stage 1: The pain signal begins in the skin, the joints, the lower back muscles, or anyplace else that receives a painful stimulus. Level 1 nerve cells pick up the signal and send it to the spinal cord for processing. Stage 2: In the spinal cord, Level 2 nerve cells modify the signal. This stage is where radical increases in the signal take place. The Level 2 neurons send the modified signal to the thalamus, the pain processing center in the brain, but at this point you don’t yet feel any pain. Stage 3: In the brain, Level 3 nerve cells move the signal from the thalamus to the cortex, where it you actually experience it as pain. Each stage contains numerous chemical weak points that we call leverage points where it may be possible to use visualizations to reduce the pain signal. Engaging the Subconscious If you can learn to engage your subconscious, you most likely will be able to identify which neurotransmitters and leverage points apply to you. You can then try to use visualization statements to give your subconscious the daily reinforcement it needs to possibly take the edge off your pain. Ben Plumb is CEO and President of The Visualization Group, Inc. The companys service is delivered by people like himself who personally suffered from years of chronic pain, and used the visualization method described in this article to obtain relief when nothing else worked. You dont have to stop at the store on your way home, to pick up something to cook. If you are stuck at the office, and your spouse knows whats on the menu for the night he or she can get started without you. 2) Run To The Store Less Often How many times to you run to the grocery store to buy something to cook for dinner. I dont know about you, but it takes me at least 45 minutes every time I do that. Menu planning allows you to get all your shopping done once a week, and make sure you have what you need to prepare every single dinner for the week. 3) Youll Eat Better You have the best intentions to prepare wholesome, healthy meals for your family. Then you get home late, everyone is hungry and there is nothing in the fridge. You head for takeout or call the pizza delivery guy. Plus every time you go to the store there are a few extra things that just make their way into your cart and on your grocery bill. If you shop less and only for those items that you actually need, you spend a lot less money on groceries each week. 5) It Saves You Time In addition to saving you money, meal planning also saves you time. You only have to go grocery shopping once a week, and there is no more wondering about whats for dinner tonight. Everything you need from the recipe to the ingredients is right at your fingertips. 6) Quality Family Time When you think back to your own childhood, family dinner is sure to come to mind as a time when everyone got together to eat a meal and talk about the day. Emagrece Sim Weight Loss Diet Pills: FDA Warning

May 26th, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Steve Joseph Amidst confusion and controversy over the safety and efficacy of Emagrece Sim, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finally released a formal warning to consumers. The warning states that the use of Emagrece Sim and Herbathin Dietary Supplements may be harmful. In fact Emagrece Sim, also known as the Brazilian Diet Pill contains a cocktail of dangerous ingredients, some of which are controlled substances and found in prescription drugs. The side effects of the use of Emagrece Sim may be serious and the FDA is advising that use could result in injury. The drug is made by Brazilian pharmaceutical companys Fitoterapicos and also Phytotherm Sim. http://www.1drugrehabcentre.com reports that all efforts are currently being made to stop further shipments of Emagrece Sim from entering the United States although the task may prove difficult. The current demand for weight loss drugs is almost insatiable in the majority of the country however the FDA hopes that by alerting their field staff, they may be able to contain much of the traffic. Although Emagrece Sim is currently the focus for authorities, experts are saying that there is a growing problem with potentially dangerous products entering the U.S. market. Like Emagrece Sim, the unknown quantities and quality of many drugs that claim to assist people with weight loss, is becoming a serious problem. Emagrece Sim actually contains a drug called Fenproporex, a stimulant that the body converts to amphetamine. This means that aside from the immediate health risks of taking Emagrece Sim, people may unwitting find themselves failing urinalysis testing for amphetamines. The drug comes in pill form and is available in a range of strengths although all levels of potency have now been outlawed. Unfortunately Emagrece Sim is still available on the internet, but the emphasis is now on educating people of the dangers of this weight loss formula before irreversible damage is done. Tips To Survive A Layoff

May 18th, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Nathan Newberger The following eight tips will help make sure that recover from alayoff sooner than you think. #1 - DON’T PANIC: You may have lost your job but you have not lost everything. You area skilled individual and will work again. Do not ever lose sight ofthese two simple sentences. Do not let yourself fall into a spiralof negative thinking. Think back to all the other people that youknow of that have lost jobs in the past and are now successfullyemployed. #2 - REFLECT AND RECOVER: Step back and clear your head. Anger and fear are two of the mostcommon emotions experienced after a job-loss. Neither is conduciveto clear thinking or good decision-making. Take some time to talkthrough your feelings of loss with friends and family members. Ifthis does not help, consider the services of a professionalcounselor. Sort through your emotional baggage or else risk draggingit with you on your job-search. #3 - ORGANIZE YOUR FINANCES: Take a serious look at your spending habits. List out your monthlyexpenses into 2 groups- absolutely necessary and optional. If youhave already been laid off you should limit your spending to thefirst category. If you are still employed but fearing what thefuture may hold, start cutting back in the second category. Ageneral rule of thumb is to keep the enough cash to cover at leasttwo months worth of expenses in the bank for emergencies. If youhave not had a chance to do so as of the time of termination, youstill have options. Dont forget that most companies offer aseverance package to laid off employees. In addition you can alsocontact your local un-employment agency regarding unemploymentbenefits. #4 - INSURANCE: Just because you have lost your job does not mean that you and yourfamily have immediately lost all insurance coverage that you hadwhile you were employed. It just means that now you are responsiblefor paying for it all by yourself. Under COBRA (Consolidated OmnibusBudget Reconciliation Act) generally you can remain on your formeremployers plan for up to 18 months as long as you pay the premiums.Remember that there are time limits for signing up for COBRA. Youcan get more COBRA information from the human resources department ofyour former employer. #5 - UPDATE YOUR RESUME: Take account of all the skills and responsibilities that you acquiredon your last job. Make sure that you include these on your updatedresume. And remember this is not the time to be modest; be proudof your accomplishments. If you are unsure on how to lay out or wordyour resume, then you can find many examples of successful resumes onthe Internet or in your local bookstore. Definitely have a friend orfamily member review your resume. Remember that a good resume canoften make the difference between being granted an interview or not.Take the time to make your resume shine. #6 - ACTIVATE YOUR NETWORK: Do not be ashamed that you have been laid off. Tell everyone thatyou think can help that you are looking for work. This does not meanthat you should cry on the shoulder of anyone that will listen. Whatthis does mean is that you should be prepared to tell friends, familyand even acquaintances that you are looking for work, what types ofskills you have and the types of jobs that you would be interestedin. #7 - CONSIDER USING A RECRUITER: Consider using a recruiter. Recruiters a.k.a. headhunters can helpyou to better manage and improve the results of your job search.Using a recruiter has many advantages. These advantages include theirhaving already established relationships with many employers andtheir having access to hidden job opportunities. In addition manyrecruiters will offer tips on how to improve your resume andinterviewing skills. Best of all most recruiters are completely freeto the job seeker. They collect their fees directly from theemployer. #8 - GO BACK TO SCHOOL: Take advantage of the time provided by being laid off to betteryourself both professionally and personally. Some people choose togo back to school and pursue an entirely different trade. Otherswill attend a few classes at the local community college to sharpentheir skills in their chosen profession. Still others will pursue 6or 12 month programs in a trade school. And dont think that yourstudy must be directly career related. This may be the perfectopportunity to study a foreign language or learn to roller blade.Layoffs provide people who are used to being busy with a lot of freetime. Make the most of this time by improving yourself. In conclusion, remember that getting laid off is not the end of theworld. Whether you are recently unemployed or are just feeling a bituncertain about your job security in these tough economic times, theeight survival tips above can help you to get back on your feetquickly in the event of a layoff. Any Job is an Honorable Job

May 14th, 2008 by katherinshukor

By Teresa Proudlove Seeing your job as an honorable job, adds more meaning and peace to your life. Also, seeing the honor in what you do now, creates an ideal foundation upon which a career change can be built. At fifteen, my first job was that of a waitress at a local truck stop. One day, back then, I happened to meet the elementary principal of my past. She mentioned she had heard I was working part time and wondered at what. Shamefacedly I mumbled, “Oh, I am just a waitress.” That wise, old, stern headmistress said to me, “Teresa, any job is an honorable job. Don’t you ever forget it!” And I never have. Of course, seeing the honor in our job is not always an easy task. Societal Values Demean our Work & Worth Our societal values make it difficult to honor so-called menial jobs. Our sick societal values esteem big bank accounts, fancy houses, new cars, extended paid vacations, prestigious jobs, beautiful, youthful looks, and perfectly cloned behaviors. These societal values wring the worth from the vast majority of hard-working folk. Create your own values by looking for the honor and worth in your work now. Any honest day’s work is honorable and worthy. Finding the honor and goodness in everything you do builds dignity and honor within you. Even if you wanted to career change but instead returned to the field you had hoped to leave, remember, there is huge honor and courage in this. Taking care of your family and responsibilities does not mean you are a failure. It means you are a responsible, caring human being. If you cannot find any worth in your current job, that lack of worth will likely haunt your career change. Before jumping jobs, seeking fulfillment elsewhere, consider your current job as sacred work. Your Job as Sacred Work Monastic writers have described their day-to-day, menial work as the path to holiness. Your job is much more than a means to pay bills. Try envisioning your job as your ministry. I have a very health conscious, spiritual friend who, at this moment in her life, sells lottery tickets, liquor and cigarettes in a liquor store to help pay her bills. Rather than bitterly resent her position, she has made it her ministry to create a positive atmosphere, giving kindness and care to every human being that passes through those doors. Not surprisingly, wonderful little miracles occur often. (And yes, she is also doing the groundwork to create new employment.) Rarely are things what they seem to be on the surface. In every relationship, in every job, and in every life experience there is much more going on than meets the eye. “The three foundations of spirituality: hearth as altar, work as worship and service as sacrament.” A Compilation of Triads, Volume I John F. Wright We are always being called to see the bigger picture and to grow nearer to our soul. To find more meaning within the work you do now, query your soul as to the larger view. Ask Your Soul Try sitting quietly for awhile. Practice letting go of passing thoughts while lightly noticing your breath coming in and going out. Relax your body and mind. Ask your soul, “What is my work really about. What work am I really doing here?” When I had grown weary of facilitating the same career assessment program for nine years, I sat and asked my soul this same question. Within the whisper of my small, still voice I heard the truth, “You are bringing light and hope to people.” The work I was doing was not about self assessment tools or job search but about bringing light and hope to people. From that day onward the program was no longer repetitive for me and as I gained more depth and meaning in my work, so did the program. When we see our work as sacred and honorable, we feel good about what we are doing and who we are. This goodness spins off into our family, workplace and ultimately the world. This also, builds an ideal foundation for career change, if we so desire. From honoring ourselves and our current work we can then successfully begin taking small steps towards change. History of Parsley: Parsley in Greek History

May 3rd, 2008 by katherinshukor

By D. Perse Native to Mediterranean, parsley has been cultivated and used in culinary and medicine for thousands of years. In times of Hippocrates (he was born around the year 460 BC on the Greek island of Kos) parsley has been used in cure-all remedies, as antidote to poisons, to cure rheumatism, for relieving kidney and bladder stones and more. In Homers Odyssey (written sometime between 800 and 600 BC) theres a description of parsley, growing on an island, named Ogygia. About a century later, the winners of Nemean and Isthmus sporting events were crowned with the wreaths made of parsley. It is interesting that ancient Greeks used parsley for everything but cooking and eating. The legend says that parsley has first sprouted from the blood of Archemorus (hero in Greek mythology: the Forerunner of death) and was therefore sacred to the dead. The tombs of deceased were decorated with parsley. A crown of wild olive was given to the victor at Olympia, and laurel at Delphi. And at the Isthmian Games pine leaves, at the Nemean Games parsley, as we know from the cases of Palaemon and Archemorus. But most games have a crown of palm as the prize, and everywhere the palm is put into the right hand of the victor. (Pausanias: Description of Greece, c. 175 CE) Traditional Greek recipes (just as abundant with history as Greeks mythology) use flat leaf parsley, a lot of it, many times even as a vegetable, in huge amounts, above all in stews. Today, with many of the ancient claims scientifically confirmed, we know that parsley is rich in vitamins (especially A and C) and minerals. It is also said to help eliminate the toxins out of ones body, remove or inactivate free radicals, help with rheumatoid arthritis and lessen inflammations. With high chlorophyll content parsley is also a great natural breath freshener.
